Meet Dr. Abbie
Dr. Abbie L. Kunkel, D.C. is a local to the area as she grew up in Kempton and graduated from Kutztown Area High School. She began her pursuit of higher education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. Dr. Abbie earned her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and then decided to further her education and study chiropractic due to her own personal experiences with chiropractic care. After attending Life University in Marietta, Georgia for 2 years, she transferred to Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2004.
Her first position as a chiropractor was with University Injury Center in Philadelphia, PA and then was an associate doctor at Kulp Family Chiropractic for 2 years in Reading, PA. In December of 2007, Dr. Abbie started Kutztown Family Chiropractic and has been blessed to be able to serve the community in which she grew up.
Meet Dr. Henrique
Dr. Henrique (Rick) Ribeiro is from Newark, NJ and attended undergraduate college locally at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. While at his undergrad he played rugby under Gregg Jones D.C. and helped with coaching a developmental side. He also helped the athletic department as an Athletic Trainers Assistant. After graduating from Kutztown, he went on to attend chiropractic school at Palmer College of Chiropractic locates in Davenport, Iowa. Here he continued his rugby career and was lucky enough to be called co-captain during his final season. While at Palmer he was selected for a preceptorship at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital where he worked in the clinic for 8 months serving active duty service members. Throughout his schooling he has become certified in various techniques such as MDT (mechanical diagnosis therapy), SFMA Level 1.
